1How long does a verification take?
- Record checks - 36 hours. Identity, guarantors and previous employment are normally settled within 36 hours of the worker giving consent and submitting their details.
- Physical address verification - 7 to 10 days. Every address is confirmed in person by a vetted agent, so allow 7 to 10 days from consent.
The clock starts when the worker consents, not when the request is created. Until then nothing is checked. You can watch each check settle on your dashboard, and the report is released once every requested check has settled and a Hirably reviewer has signed it off.
2What is included in each package?
- Basic. Identity verification and guarantor verification.
- Complete. Identity, guarantors, residential address and previous employer.
Current prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. You pay per verification - there is no plan, subscription or minimum number of checks.
3What does the worker agree to?
Nothing is checked without the worker's agreement. The worker receives two messages on WhatsApp (with SMS as a fallback): the first says who is asking, the second lists exactly which checks were requested and carries their private consent link. One agreement covers all the checks on that request, and the link expires after 14 days.
The worker can see the same case in their own portal, including what was confirmed and when. Full detail is in our consent statement.
4What if a check cannot be confirmed?
It is recorded factually as not confirmed, with the date and what was attempted. A check that cannot be completed is not treated as a finding against the worker.
Hirably never issues a score, a rating or a hiring recommendation, and never labels a person safe or unsafe. The report states what was confirmed, what was not, and when - the hiring decision stays with you.
5Who can see the report?
Only the workspace that requested and paid for the check, and the worker it concerns. Reports are reviewed by a Hirably reviewer before release, and download as a timestamped PDF you can keep for your records or share with the worker.
Evidence files sit in private storage, and precise location data from an address check is never shown to an employer.
6How does Hirably handle compliance?
Hirably is built around consent first, only the data a check needs, and an audit trail behind every material action. Identity numbers are reduced to a one-way hash once a check completes.
Our controls are described in full on the security page, and how we handle personal data is set out in the privacy notice.
7What rights does the worker have?
A worker can sign in to their portal to see every request raised about them, the outcome of each check and their own copy of the report. They can contest any record filed about them; a contested record is shown as contested to any employer who checks, with the answer given beside it while it is reviewed.
Workers are never charged for a verification about them, and Hirably operates no public blacklist.
