Who we are
Hirably Technologies Limited operates hirably.com, a staff verification service for businesses and households in Nigeria. We act as a data controller for account data and as a data processor for verification data submitted by an employer about a candidate.
What we collect
- Account details: name, work email, organisation name, phone number.
- Candidate details supplied by an employer: name, phone number, role type.
- Verification data supplied by the candidate with their consent: identity reference, a selfie for liveness, residential address and guarantor details.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and service logs.
Consent
No verification begins until the candidate has given explicit, recorded consent through their own link. Consent states what will be checked, for how long, and who will see the result. A candidate may decline or withdraw, and we record that outcome factually.
Why we process it
We process personal data to carry out the verification an employer has requested, to produce a factual report, to prevent fraud and misuse of the service, and to meet legal obligations under the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
Sharing
Verification results are shared only with the employer who requested them. We use infrastructure, identity and messaging providers under contract. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Retention
Verification records are retained for as long as the requesting employer holds an active account, then deleted or anonymised. Evidence documents are stored privately and are reachable only through short-lived, expiring links.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to processing. Write to privacy@hirably.com and we will respond within 30 days.
